Key Working Principles
Key Components of The Stone Crusher
Main Chassis
High-strength structural frame engineered with thick steel plating to withstand severe torsional stress and continuous heavy rock impact.
Cardan PTO Shaft
Heavy-duty PTO driveline with integrated cam clutch safety protection, transferring maximum tractor torque smoothly into the crushing chamber.
Crusher Rotor
Dynamically balanced high-mass rotor fitted with tungsten-carbide fixed hammers for deep ground penetration and aggressive rock pulverization.
Chain Curtain
Interlocking multi-layer hardened safety chains that securely trap flying debris and rocks within the processing chamber during operation.
Breaker Wedge / Skids
Adjustable ground-penetrating wedge and lateral skids providing exact working depth control and initial bedrock loosening.
Wear Plates (Hardox®)
Modular, bolted-on abrasion-resistant Hardox® armor shields the internal chassis from direct stone abrasion, ensuring low maintenance downtime.
Hydraulic Rear Hood
Hydraulically adjustable rear canopy allows the operator to regulate output grading size, material throughput, and soil mixing consistency.
Adjustable Counter Blade
Interchangeable heavy-duty anvil blade working against the rotor teeth to achieve secondary crushing and ultrafine rock fragmentation.

What Is a Stone Crusher?
A stone crusher (also called a rock crusher or stone mulcher) is a tractor-mounted, PTO-driven implement designed to pulverise surface rocks, stones, and rubble directly into the ground — turning obstacles into a smooth, workable seedbed in a single pass.
Unlike conventional rock pickers that collect debris, a stone crusher breaks stones down to a manageable size (typically under 30–40 mm) and incorporates the material back into the soil. The result is level ground that is immediately ready for cultivation, seeding, or construction work — without the logistical cost of hauling rock away.
These machines are built around a high-mass rotor fitted with hardened cutting picks or flails. As the rotor spins at working speed, centrifugal force drives the picks into rock with enough energy to fracture even granite-grade material. A rear anvil bar controls the maximum output particle size.

How to Choose the Right Stone Crusher
Getting the specification right before you buy avoids costly mismatches between machine capacity and tractor output. Work through these four factors in order.
- 1
Match tractor engine power first
Stone crushing is one of the highest-load PTO tasks in agriculture. Always meet or exceed the minimum power rating — the 2.4 m model requires 180 cv and the 3.0 m requires 230 cv. Running under-powered causes clutch slip, overheating, and premature rotor bearing failure.
- 2
Measure your working width requirement
Working width determines productivity per hour. For fields over 10 ha, the 3.0 m machine delivers significantly lower cost-per-acre. For orchards, vineyards, or tight paddocks, the 2.2–2.4 m range gives the maneuverability needed without sacrificing throughput.
- 3
Assess stone size and density
Surface flint and limestone up to 250 mm are standard operating conditions for this range. For dense granite or deeply embedded rock fields, discuss rotor pick configuration and wear-part interval with your distributor before purchasing.
- 4
Confirm drawbar and linkage compatibility
All models in this range come with a Cat. 2 three-point linkage and include a drawbar kit as standard, giving broad tractor compatibility. Verify your tractor's rear hitch load rating against the machine's stated weight before ordering.

Typical Application Scenarios

Eliminate flint, chalk, and limestone stones that damage harvester headers and cultivation equipment. Prepare a clean, machine-safe seedbed before sowing.
Clear rocky inter-row ground in plantations where standard cultivators cannot operate safely. Improve drainage and reduce tyre and equipment damage.
Reduce surface rubble and embedded stone ahead of civil grading work. Level building plots, access roads, and infrastructure corridors efficiently.
Break up surface stones on grazing land to protect livestock hooves, improve grass establishment, and enable direct drilling or overseeding.
Process rocky forest floor areas after timber harvest. Prepare terrain for replanting by combining stone crushing with light stump and root processing.
Break down track surface stones and potholes on farm roads and access tracks. Provides a compactable aggregate base without imported material costs.
